Hard pick up dice

I find it hard to pick up the dice if any characters or monsters are in line behind it. If I move the board so there is nothing behind the dice I can pick up.

This happens to me a lot. I find myself just swooping my hands below the dice and grabbing upwards to avoid pointing down at anything on the board. It would be a good quality of life change to not need to do that.
